009 Sound System -- Standing Stones

An interesting and somewhat mellow piece. With periods of energy "interspliced" with some interesting riffs and whatnot.

Recommended background music for a slow day.

Doesn't necessarily have to be played loud to be enjoyed, clarity and volume are however a plus, if your 'gear is capable of both simultaneously.

Overall, a nice chilled track.

BEST OF '09 PSYTRANCE!

Now, it's long been established that any stealing of useful links to free or excellent music that can be legally played/obtained has been a little secretive.

But.. today the "Team Of One" (I, moi, me, yours truly) blow open the doors because in one of my RSS feeds I have got a summary of '09 and her best moozik.

Check it out and get smashin'!

(I have much of the psytrance listed in the post and can confirm that there is some incredible stuff there. Download the lot in FLAC format if you can afford the extra discspace and bandwidth.)

Everything But The Girl -- Missing

A golden oldie which you will no doubt have heard. A reliable piece of background music that used to be all the rage back in the day and is still played now and then.

"Like the deserts miss the rain.." gotta love that lyric!

There are also tonnes of versions and remixes, but for the moment I will list just one version -- the original mix.

(Given the tracks age, it's difficult to get a reliable link to a good"ish" quality source, so it's tough guff ya whingey sods. hehe)

Clone -- Midnight Sunrise

This track is full of synergy, energy and incredible beats. Undertones, overtones and some excellent quality "moozic." (I have the 100% legal FLAC (ORIGINAL CD MASTER -UALITY) file obtained a wee while ago. 8-))

A good solid multi-paced sound.

I highly recommend that you listen to it all the way through, as with some goa/psytrance it can be slow to start.

Have at it:

Aspen -- Just Be Good To Me (Extended Mix)

A hot new track from Aspen, released this year (we are 24 days into it as this was typed -- a little nugget of useless information for you there)

With a throbbing, good quality, rich beat throughout.

Add some vocals and a thick, deep sound and you have the track.

I can see that this would make for some excellent remixes into other tracks, perhaps a Kraftwerk high-pace semi-remix.

Rather interestingly, this track is not for sale, but for promotional purposes for the Dance Project.

Ntrance -- Set You Free

An epic, insanely popular smash of a track.

Needing no introduction to any lover of music and/or follower of the charts, this belter shot straight to the top (bar one) of the charts way back in '95. (Well, the number two slot anyway.)

Released again in 2001 as a not-quite-so-classic tune, you just can't beat the original. Apart from the film "Airplane II" that IS better than the original.

Things to listen for: Kelly Llorenna's distinctive vocals.

York -- On The Beach

First post of the new year, lets get straight to business...

... Another golden, electronic oldie!

If you haven't ever heard this you are either:

A: Newly born, congratulations on adding to the surplus population whilst contributing nothing but shitty nappies.

B: Stupid.

Lets get on with the music and stop the bitching.

I believe it was released back in 99/00. If that's wrong email one of the "team of one" here at MMP.
